A contest on making of the best natural preparations took
place among students of Georgievsky’s Crimean State Medical University. Such contest
in the chair of normal anatomy is held several years on end.
The best works were exhibited in anatomic museum of the chair.
Georgievsky’s Crimean State Medical University museum of human anatomy and history of morphology keeps wax figures of Nikolay Pirogov and Sergey Botkin. Crimean cabinet of curiosities numbers 1200 natural preparations. The most impressive preparations are three mummies, embalmed in the chair of the University.
