Victor Yushchenko has met with members of the Association for Friendship with Ukraine and the Parliamentary Association “Korea-Ukraine” in Seoul, president's press office report.

They spoke about how to liberalize visa rules between the two countries.

“There is a chance to remove visa obstacles soon,” he told journalists after the meeting.

The President said Ukraine had already liberalized its visa requirements for the citizens of Korea staying in the country not longer than ninety days.

“I have just had a meeting with parliamentarians that see it as their goal and want to take a mirror step regarding Ukraine’s citizens,” he said.

Yushchenko added that the two countries had recently signed and ratified two visa agreements, enabling those who have a diplomatic passport to travel without a visa and giving a multiple-entry visa to Korean and Ukrainian business people.
