Party of Regions’ faction strongly objects to early parliamentary and presidential elections. Mykhaylo Chechetov, people’s deputy of Ukraine, member of Party of Regions told today, ForUm’s correspondent reports.
“It is not because of Party of Regions is afraid to lose these elections… quite the contrary, it will confidently win, but at the same time we understand that early elections next year is a significant step back,” he stressed.
Moreover, the people’s deputy noted that since the Governmental work for budget 2007 none of meetings of the President with the Government and the budget committee of the VR has been held.
Chechetov noted that the President’s Secretariat decided to stand as “protector of people and to express absolutely populist suggestions.”
According to him, the Party of Regions calls up on all political forces to constructive cooperation “for the sake of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.”
