Ukraine - NATO economic consultations were held in NATO headquarters in Brussels Thursday. In particular, a regular session of the Ukraine - NATO Economic Committee within the framework of distinctive partnership and consultations of the Intensified Dialogue format at the expert level were held, “Cabinet press office” informed.
During the consultations the Ukrainian side briefed NATO representatives about the macroeconomic situation in the country, Govt activities in further market economic reforms and implementation of the Ukraine - NATO Target Plan for 2006 in the economic sphere. The NATO delegation was also informed about Ukraine's WTO accession process, its position on the CEA forming and prospects for free trade area with the EU creating.
The Ukrainian party also told the NATO experts about realization of a new state program of social and professional adaptation of the retired military.
