In an interview to parliamentary journalists member of
BYuT faction Oleksandr Turchinov declared that President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko
is not authorized to cancel the political reform. Turchinov underlined that
only Constitutional Court can cancel it.
He noted that the constitutional reform is not perfect. “From the other hand, constitutional reform mustn’t be a part of confrontation between the government and the President,” the deputy said.
Turchinov is convinced that Ukraine needs balanced Constitution, which “must work for citizens, but not for officials and clans.”
“In this view we are ready to consider and revise the political reform in both presidential and parliamentary formats,” the deputy summed up.
