Victor Yushchenko and his Estonian colleague, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, have opened talks in Tallinn expected to focus on how to build closer political, economic and energy ties between Ukraine and Estonia. They are also going to speak about Euro-Atlantic and regional issues, education and labor migration, president's press office reported.

Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, National Bank Chairman Volodymyr Stelmakh, the President of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, MP Anatoly Kinakh and Ukraine’s Ambassador to Estonia Pavlo Kiryakov are present at the meeting. 

The two leaders met before the talks. Yushchenko reiterated that Ukraine was determined to join the European Union and NATO. Mr. Ilves reassured him Estonia would eagerly share its experience to help Ukraine on this path.
