Ukraine can join the WTO (World Trade Organization) without signing goods/services markets access bilateral protocol with Kyrgyzstan, as Valeriy Piatnytskiy, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economics reported.

According to him, Ukraine will not need to sign protocol with Kyrgyzstan if in course of voting on Ukraine’s accession into the WTO Kyrgyzstan doesn’t vote against.

In 1997 Ukraine started bilateral negotiations with each of WTO Working Group countries responsible for consideration of Ukrainian WTO membership application.

As of now, Ukraine needs to sign goods/services markets access bilateral protocols only with Kyrgyzstan and Taiwan.
