The international community, including Ukraine, considers elections in Pridnestrovye and their consequences illegal and does not admit them.
As it is said in comments of press service of Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, the international community considers that both the “presidential elections” and the recent “referendum”, taken place in September of the current year, contradict international norms and standards, principals of UNO and OSCE, there for, they are illegal and also do not contribute to regulation of the Pridnestrovye’s conflict in general.
Ukraine calls to negotiation renewal in the format “5+2” (Moldova, Pridnestrovye – as parties; Ukraine, Russia, OSCE – as conciliators; the EU, the USA – as observers), initiated by the Ukrainian Plan of Pridnestrovye’s regulation of the President Viktor Yushchenko.
