The Foreign Minister of Ukraine Borys Tarasyuk considers that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych’s speech, in the scope of his visit to the USA corresponded to the directives, approved by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.

“I consider in principle that all those Yanukovych’s statements in scope of the visit to the USA were made according to directives, approved by the President of our State,” Tarasyuk said.

Answering the journalists’ questions whether foreign policy of Ukraine will be changed in the future, Tarasyuk reminded that realization of foreign policy refers to the President’s competence and that’s why foreign policy “shouldn’t be changed.” ‘At the same time, statements of some members of the Government cast doubt on integrity of foreign policy of our State,” the Minister emphasized, without explanation what statements he means.

Yanukovych paid a work visit to the USA on December 4-7.
