Next few years gas price for Ukraine will remain at the level of USD 130 per one thousand cubic meters. At the same time, supplies of the Russian gas to Ukraine are not considered next year, and the balance will be closed at the expense of the Central Asian gas. Dmitriy Medvedev, the first vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of directors committee “Gazprom” Jsc. said.

He also noted that “Gazprom” tends to complete transfer process on the market interrelations with former Soviet republics to 2008.

According to Medvedev, these interrelations will be developed according to positive scenario as “we have common history and mutual interests,” UNIAN reported.

Moreover, Medvedev considers the interrelations as competition’s increase of former Soviet republics.

“Transfer on the market interrelations is certainly difficult but it is for common good as it allows to implement effectively energy saving mechanisms and to increase producers’ competitiveness of these countries;” he emphasized.
