As the “Cabinet press office” told, Vice Prime Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk met with US Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor to discuss the spectrum of bilateral relations.

As Tabachnyk told the US envoy, he is contemplating to visit the USA in December at the head of Ukraine's delegation, with a view of participating in a national exhibition.

The exhibition, he said, will involve dozens of successful businesses and research institutions.

The exhibition will show Ukraine's achievements in hi-tech branches, in particular, in nanophysics and nanochemistry.

Besides, Ukrainian researchers will show their most recent design for implanting microdoses of medicines in human body. There is no analogue in the world, Dmytro Tabachnyk told the American diplomat.

The host party informed the Ambassador about positive changes in financing Ukraine's drive for combating infectious diseases.

Considering the fact that Ukraine has met all its obligations with regard to the World Bank, on November 22 the bank resumed financing the program Control of TB and HIV/AIDS in Ukraine.

Besides, the Cabinet has decided to purchase medicines for treating HIV/AIDS and TB cases through UN institutions, with no go-betweens, Dmytro Tabachnyk told the US Ambassador.

In turn, William Taylor reassured the host party with regard to America's readiness to render aid to Ukraine in combating HIV/AIDS and TB.

As Mr Taylor noted, Ukraine has good chances for getting America's biggest grant.

Within the framework of the new program, dubbed New Millennium Challenges and meant for fighting poverty and promoting economic development, Ukraine may count on a 750 M. USD grant, the American diplomat stressed.
