Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych declares
about the necessity to urgently pass a package of anti-corruption laws.
“A package of these laws must be passed in the near future,” the Premier said. Yanukovych also noted that besides legislative changes it is necessary to strengthen executive discipline, as by this time there is big enough normative base, which allows preventing non-purpose use of budget means. “There are laws which do not give officials and those, who have access to state property, a possibility to steal,” the PM stated.
“We must severe punish those people who violate the laws boldly and cynically, “he added.
Yanukovych underlined that people, caught in plundering, must be removed from their positions and account for their actions.
