Victor Yushchenko has offered sympathy to President Lech Kaczynski of Poland over yesterday’s gas blast at the Halemba coal mine in Ruda Slaska, which killed eight miners, president's press office reported.
“Ukrainians mourn the bitter loss in the minute of hardship for the Polish nation,” he wrote, expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died and were injured.
