In an interview for Channel One, 1+1 and Inter to mark the second anniversary of the Orange Revolution, Victor Yushchenko said, “The Orange Revolution and Ukraine have achieved colossal national results, which, like all historic phenomena, can only be appreciated several years later.”
The President said Ukraine was “profoundly different from the country it was three years ago.”
“Millions of people contributed to this change. Their exploit stunned the whole world. That was the consolidation that very few nations and countries have experienced and witnessed,” he said.
When asked how he would celebrate tomorrow’s Freedom Day, Yushchenko said he wanted to remember those events with his "Maidan comrades."
