Ukraine will take part in construction of the oil pipelines Schwedt - Wilhelmshaven and Bratislava - Vienna. The decision was fixed in an action plan for realization of the Eurasian Oil Transportation Corridor (EOTC) project.
As Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko noted after a joint session of the Ukrainian - Polish working group for economic cooperation, the EOTC project had been developed for prevention of fall of Russian oil transit via Ukraine in connection with the construction an "eastern" pipe to China, in which Russia is presently engaged.
