Yushchenko considers that the issue concerning gas supplies to industrial enterprises and vagueness of relations between gas supplies and enterprises-consumers has moved to the plane of national security threats.
Early November UkrGasEnergo company, which is the main supplier of natural gas to Ukrainian consumers, refused regardless the agreements to deliver gas to 16 big industrial enterprises of Ukraine.
The President is convinced that such position of the mentioned company, which is in fact a monopolist of the gas market, threatens national security of the country and can lead to unpredictable negative consequences in social-economic and ecological spheres.
On the instructions of the President the Antimonopoly committee will investigate the conflict as regards possible violation of the anti-monopoly legislation by UkrGasEnergo.
