The Ukrainian Government
is satisfied with the increase of commodity turnover between Ukraine and
Slovakia and positively estimates the tendency of leveling trade balance
between two countries. Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych disclosed
this during the meeting with delegation of the National Council of the
Slovak Republic headed by the Council Chairman Pavla Pašku, Cabinet press office reported.
The Ukrainian PM highly
estimated work of the Ukrainian-Slovak economic commission noting that the
eleventh session of this commission is scheduled for the first half of 2007.
One of the key
directions of further cooperation between Ukraine and Slovakia Viktor Yanukovych
views in guaranteeing energy security of the European continent. We wish our
cooperation with the European Union would give positive results, Viktor Yanukovych
said stressing that Ukraine intends to cooperate with Europe in such key issues
as diversification of the supply of energy carriers to the European continent.
