Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine continue to present variants of a draft bill on Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

In particular, newly appointed Justice Ministers Oleksandr Lavrynovich has presented the variant worked out by the government. President’s advisor Ihor Koliushko has presented the variant developed in the President’s Secretariat and submitted for consideration by the Head of the State. People’s deputy of Ukraine Mykola Onyshchuk has reported on main principles of the draft on Cabinet of Ministers worked out by a group of deputies.

Parliamentarian must give the bill its first reading to further work out the document and have a possibility to introduce items of those variants, which would be rejected.

Commenting on the consideration of the draft bill on Cabinet of Ministers, BYuT representative Victor Teren has forecasted that the deputies will give the governmental draft bill its first reading.

It is obvious that the parliament will vote for the variant worked out by the government. And it is obvious that the President will veto this bill. It is also obvious that the veto will not be overcome, as the VR will not find necessary 300 votes, and as a result the country will continue living without the law on Cabinet of Ministers,” the deputy stated.

Teren also underscored that “it can be seen with the naked eye that the governmental draft bill curtails President’s rights, as well as the presidential variant curtails parliament’s rights.”
