Justice Ministry, State Property Fund and State TV and
Broadcasting committee works on a draft law of Ukraine on ungovernmentalisation
of Mass Medias, as vice PM of Ukraine Dmytro Tabachnyk told Wednesday at a
press conference.
According to him, the government supports the conception proposed by Union of journalists of Ukraine. “According to our draft bill, the passing of equipment, buildings and property to editorial staffs must be carried out legally and by several stages,” Tabachnyk explained.
He assured that the work on this draft bill would be finished before the next session of the Verkhovna Rada and the parliament would consider it very soon.
The vice PM noted that if Rada support this “journalistic-governmental” bill, assignation will start in the first half of the year 2007.
