Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Hrytsenko is
reporting on activity of his Ministry in this year in the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine, ForUm’s correspondent reported.
According to Hrytsenko, the Ministry has undergone positive changes for this year, as for the first time of Ukraine’s independence the Ukrainian army had clear tasks, and all army officials, including the minister, clearly know what they have to do during the next six years.
The Minister informed that, in contrast to the previous years, the priority of the Armed Forces for the moment is combat training of the personnel.
According to Hrytsenko, the army has managed to increase the level of combat training by 40-50%, but unfortunately, these indices will not increase till the end of this year, as the army lacks budget financing.
