BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko declares that she “will
fight for power during every election,” as she said in an interview to “Economic
news”.
In response to the question whether she is going to run for presidency in 2009, Tymoshenko said: “I never clung to high chairs if I understood that at that stage nobody would give me a chance to realize the principles I serve. But I will fight for power during every election in order to reduce my dependence on high-ranked political bonzes and to increase my dependence on people’s choice.”
“As for me, independence from private interests of politicians and highest possible dependence on the people is the only possibility to change the country’s life for better,” she added.
