About 30% of Ukraine's
economy is observed at the shadow sector, first deputy Finance Minister Vadym Kopylov
said, “Cabinet’s press office” reported.
"Some experts claim
it's 15 to 20% of the economy, others believe it's 40 to 45%. In my opinion the
truth is somewhere in the middle", he said.
In turn, first vice
Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that the shadow economy can be combated only
through provision of descent conditions, under which Ukrainians won't profit
from hiding back taxes.
