Foreign Minister of Ukraine Borys Tarasyuk had a
private audience with Queen of Denmark Margrethe
II. That was the first meeting of the head of Denmark with a representative of
Ukraine’s authorities.
During the meeting Tarasyuk delivered a letter from Ukraine’s President Victor Yushchenko with an invitation to pay an official visit to Ukraine, which would be the first in the history of relations between the two countries.
The Minister confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to develop
bilateral partnership with Denmark and assured of invariability of Ukraine’s course to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
