President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko expresses deep concern over some indices of the draft budget of Ukraine for 2007, worked out by the government of Victor Yanukovych. The head of social and economic policy service of President’s Secretariat Oleksandr Shlapak told Wednesday at a press conference in Kyiv.

“We may first appear in the situation, when growth of real incomes of the population will not keep pace with inflation,” he said.

Shlapak explained that President’s Secretariat is not satisfied with the inflation forecast at the level of 7.5% in 2007. According to Secretariat’s experts, real inflation will make 11-13%. Shlapak also informed that GDP growth was given too high – from real 4.2-4.5% to 6.5%.

According to Shlapak, the President is also unsatisfied with that of minimal wage was increase by 12% while living wage was reduced by 40-50 hryvnias.
