New working places for condemned, who are imprisoned
in institution of sentence execution. As reported by Kyiv city state
administration, a regional program on this issue was worked out for the period
till 2010.
The program provides for professional-technical education for condemned and brining them to labour in accordance with European norms and standards, as well as increase of volumes of realization of production in districts of the region. It is planned to create about 700 working places.
For this purpose, new equipment for production of spares for agricultural machines, building goods and tailoring will be purchased.
According to the article 121 of Criminal Code of Ukraine, a part of salary of the condemned is taken to compensate expanses for food, clothes, shoes, underwear, communal-general and other services.
