Inflation rate in
Ukraine in October 2006 constituted 2.6%, and 8.7% in January-October,
comparing to the corresponding period of 2005, the State Statistics Committee
of Ukraine informs.
According to the State
Statistics Committee, prices for foodstuffs raised by 2.1% in January-October
2006, by 2.6% for nonfoods, by 37.3% for services, compared to the
corresponding period of 2005.
According to the State
Statistics Committee, inflation rate in Ukraine constituted 2% in September,
and 5.9% in January-September 2006.
Let's recall, that
inflation in Ukraine constituted 10.3% according to the results of 2005.
The Ministry of Economy
forecasted GDP growth at the level of 5.8% to7%, and inflation rate at the
level of 9% to 11.5% in 2006. The department recalled its forecast for revision
in January 2006 and, in the middle of March, worsened the inflation forecast in
2006 to 11.4% to 11.6%.
The Cabinet of Ministers
used 7% GDP growth forecast in 2006, and inflation indicator at 8.7% during
formation of the state budget for 2006.
