A sitting of the National Olympic Committee's Executive Committee resulted in a number of decisions on financing and training Ukrainian athletes for their participation the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, Cabinet press office told Friday.
According to President of the National Olympic Committee Serhiy Bubka, a special charitable foundation to attract donations for training Ukrainian athletes, will be opened. The President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine stressed that the International Olympic Committee approved the UNOC's offer and agreed to provide scholarships for 26 Ukrainian athletes.
To support Ukrainian Olympic mainstream the National Olympic Committee decided to establish the Olympic champions’ alley in Kyiv.
