State Customs Service imposed a temporary ban for export shipments from Ukraine of wheat and barley under licenses given by Ministry of Economics in accordance with distributed quotas.

Letter of State Customs Service addressed to the heads of regional customs offices contains this measure, Agrimarket informed.

This decision was made in connection with decision of Economic Court, Kiev, d. d. October, 31, 2006, under claim of entrepreneur, Andrei Astapov, according to which was stopped force of regulations of Government of Ukraine No 1418 d. d. October, 11, 2006, "On introduction of alterations into regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No 1304 d. d. December, 30, 2005 and invalidation of regulations of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No 1364 d. d. September, 28, 2006".

As it was informed before according to the information of managing partner of juridical company "Astapov Lawyers", Astapov Andrei, Economic Court of Kiev halted force of the indicated regulations till consideration of the case per se.

We remind that from October, 17, Ukraine has imposed quotas for export of wheat, maize, barley and rye till the end of the current year in total volume of 1.603 mln tonnes. In particular, quotas for export of wheat and meslin (rye and wheat mixture) total 400.000 tonnes, maize and barley - 600.000 tonnes each, rye - 3.000 tonnes.

At the same time Government cancelled its regulations d. d. September, 28, that introduced licenses for exported milling wheat and meslin (wheat and rye mixture).
