Ukraine’s VR approved of candidacies of Yuryi Bohutsky and Oleksandr Lavrynovych as new Ministers of Culture and Justice correspondingly.
246 people’s deputies voted for them.
In 1989 he took active part in creation of Narodny Rukh (People’s Movement). In 1993-1994 he worked on probation in the USA. Oleksandr Lavrynovych worked as Ukraine’s Justice Ministry State Secretary in 2001-2002. In 2002 he was elected MP in the OU party list but denied a parliamentary mandate as President Kuchma appointed him a Justice Minister. He resigned in 2005 after Victor Yushchenko won the election.
