Taras Stetskyv, a President’s Advisor on Political Affairs, considers 2017 to be the last year of RF BSF staying in Ukraine. He adds that the Cabinet had to link the gas price for Ukraine with the prices on gas transit, its storage and RF BSF staying.

“From the point of view of the national interests, all this is the case. An increase in gas price must be paid off and the gas transit, storage or RF BSF might compensate the hike,” explained Taras Stetskyv.

Russia managed to defend its national interests, Stetskyv opined: “Ukraine will not get Russian gas supply. But Russia won to transit and to store gas at he same tariffs. It will damage Ukraine’s economics.”
