Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Greece to Ukraine Kharalambos Dimitriu visited Nizhyn, Chernihiv region. The visit aimed at negotiation on prospects of strengthening the Ukrainian-Greek cooperation and bipartite relations, “Cabinet’s press office” reported.
In 1696 Greeks established in Nizhyn their brotherhood, which was later on reorganized into the Greek Merchants Community.
In Nizhyn Kharalambos Dimitriu met with its leadership, toured the Museum of Rare Book, the Church of All Saints, erected on donations of brothers Zosymy, the Nizhyn Gymnasium No 3, the Mykola Gogol Museum and the Picture Gallery of the Nizhyn State University.
