The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 1.1mln UAH to the Construction, Architecture and Public Utilities Ministry for restoration of the Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra's caves, "Cabinet's press office" reported.
The Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra is included into the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.
As many as 122 monuments of architecture are situated on the territory of the Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra, which is divided into two parts - the high one and the low one.
The high part sees location of the National Historic and Cultural Sanctuary and the lower part serves as a monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
