As of October 1, the wage arrears are 245.995 million UAH; it is by 3.1% more comparing with September of 2005 and 32.2% more than January’s index, the State Statistics informs.
Ukraine’s manufacturing industry tops the list of debtors. It owes 194.7 million UAH (by 3.8% more than 2006 September’s index). The extractive industry takes the second place with 42.614 million (by 1.5% more). Energy metals enterprises end the top list by 40.235 million UAH.
By October 1, 536 enterprises declared themselves bankrupt. The major number of the bankrupts was fixed in the sphere of manufacturing industry (452), the less number – oil refineries field (2).
