Freedom of speech and consolidation of democracy are
the key achievements of Ukraine for the last two years, the joint Ukraine-EU
statement on results of the 3rd annual summit says.
“Parliamentary elections demonstrated that consolidation of democracy and freedom of speech are the key achievements of Ukraine for the last two years. They must be protected,” the document notes, UNIAN reported.
The parties also mentioned the importance of implementation of political and economic reforms, as well as finalization of Ukraine’s WTO accession.
Ukraine and the EU confirm the intention to start negations over the Enhanced Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The parties also hail the progress achieved under Ukraine-EU Action Plan.
