Ukraine does not plan to change a price of the gas transit via its territory to the EU, Fuel and Energy Minister Yuri Boyko told Wednesday at a briefing after the Cabinet’s session.
Minister Boyko stressed Ukraine may not talk about any hike in the transit gas price as the agreement fixing the price for the next five years is still valid. Besides, “the transit rate was one of the arguments of the gas price negotiations,” Minister Boyko stated.
Commenting on rather cheap price on gas supplies for Ukraine, Minister Boyko mentioned that it was reached due to “wide range of weighty non-political arguments.”
