Additionally, at the moment of yesterday’s meeting Fradkov did not have confirmed information about that the price for Russian gas for Ukraine made 130 USD per 1000 cu m, Chalyi noted.
He also noted that it is still unknown according to what formula gas price for Ukraine is being counted, and according to what formula it has been increased to $130. “Do you remember that we were told that gas price for Ukraine depends on oil price? But oil price has decreased for the latest two-three months, and world experts forecast that it will continue decreasing; but at the same time the price for Ukraine is raising,” Chalyi added.
According to his words, the price for Russian gas transit through the territory of Ukraine is also unfixed. “According to intergovernmental treaties, ratified by Ukrainian parliament, our key issues of mutual relations must be regulated by intergovernmental protocols; and it is unknown now whether these protocols will be signed,” he noted.
