Oleksiy Ivchenko Naftogaz Ex-President and the OU MP, is confident that Ukraine will loose advantage of buying gas at the price of $130 if it gives its gas-transport system to Russia. He revealed it Tuesday at 5Channel live broadcasting.
“We are assured now that it is good cheap price, it is better than our neighbours’ one and so on. Yes, it is better by now, but what is cost of it? Let’s recall Belarus and its $50. What did happen then? Nearly half a year Belarus gave its gas-transport system and the price hiked - $200. What has happened with Moldavians? They gave its gas-transport system and have got $200. Concerning Europe, I’d like to remind you that as for now there is a price which is three times higher, but there is Estonia, a European country, paying $110 for Russian gas according to market principles,” stressed Ivchenko.
“So, a conclusion suggests itself that $130 is not a final price for Ukraine. Judging by Fradkov’s statements, Russia has made political conditions regarding Ukraine’s accession to the WTO and, probably, some others. We will have $130 so far. If Ukraine fulfils Russian requirements it will get what they all got or even higher,” concluded OU MP Ivchenko.
