Ukraine hopes for negotiations on the visa regime with the EU to be completed by October 27 and initialled during the Ukraine - EU Summit, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's spokesman Andriy Deshchitsa told Tuesday at a news briefing.
He didn't specify any details of the document, having said that the negotiations are still underway. As he noted, the parties reached understanding almost on all items, except for terms of readmission agreement signing.
According to Deshchitsa, the Summit might create the favourable political atmosphere for launching negotiations between Ukraine and the European Union on concluding a new basic agreement to change the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.
