The Anti-Crisis Coalition has worked out a draft bill on principles of foreign and home policy of the country, PM Yanukovich declared.
“The draft bill has been already done by three factions on behalf of the coalition – the Party of Regions, the Socialist arty and the Communist Party of Ukraine. It will be considered by the parliament,” said PM Yanukovich at Monday press conference in Kyiv.
He stressed that the government will cooperate with the coalition regarding this subject and will participate in the consideration via its factions in the parliament.
As a reminder, on October 12, PM Yanukovich stated that the Cabinet intended to follow the main principles of the foreign and home policy appointed by the VR. He also called for reconsideration of the corresponding bill mentioning that it is a must for Ukraine to obey the Constitution and the laws. As he stated, the Constitution reads that the principles of the foreign and home policy are fixed by the parliament. The corresponding bill was adopted in 1993 and now it must be revised, Yanukovich told.
On October 14, the President of Ukraine declared that he would agree on changing the corresponding bill only on condition that it would reflect the pressing issues of Ukraine (Euro-Atlantic integration, economic and social and humanitarian questions – ed.).
