Victor Yushchenko has offered sympathy to the family and colleagues of MP Yuriy Orobets who died in a car accident on Monday, the president press office reports.
“The prominent politician and the honest and noble man, who promoted the Ukrainian state with his own life and deeds and protected democratic rights and freedoms of Ukrainians, has passed away,” he said.
The President added that Yuri Orobets had been an example of self-denying patriotism and believed in Ukraine’s future, sincerely working to benefit his country.
“His death is a bitter and irreparable loss for Ukraine and all who knew Yuriy Mykolayevych,” he said.
