On October 14, Victor Yushchenko has congratulated South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon on being formally elected the next United Nations secretary general.
“Your confident victory is an expressive proof of the significance of your personal qualities, outlook, energy and deep commitment to the cause of UN reforms,” he wrote in a letter.
The President assured Mr. Ban Ukraine would fully support his mission to face current and future challenges and menaces.
