Ukrainian government intends to invest in the native science and scientific-and-technological progress. The priority orientation of budget policy-2007 will be upgrade of state support system for the scientific and scientific-and-technological activity in Ukraine aimed at creation of domestic IT and development of Ukraine’s scientific-technological potential, the Finance Ministry press office informed.
The draft state budget-2007 plans spending $582.46 for science (by 16.5% more than the previous year).
The fundamental studies make 52.5% out of the total sum. The draft budget plans to modernise of think-tank institutions and to increase the salary of the scientists and researchers.
