Newly appointed ambassadors from Iceland, Namibia, Yemen, Cyprus, Ghana and Burkina Faso have presented their credentials to Victor Yushchenko, the president press office informs.

The President told the diplomats Ukraine wanted to profoundly develop relations with the countries they represent.

“Ukraine has always been and will always be open to building a mutually beneficial and constructive dialogue with absolutely all foreign countries. It will particularly be eager to build ties with countries whose presence in Ukraine, both economic and political, was insufficient due to several objective reasons,” he said.
President Yushchenko expressed hopes the ambassadors would use potential chances for cooperation with Ukraine to the full.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk and Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Oleksandr Chalyy attended the ceremony.
