Officials form Kyiv Department fighting corruption and organised criminality arrested red-handed an official of Kyiv Department controlling usage and protection lands.
As SBU Kyiv Department press service informed, the official had interpreted his commissions in very special way. Having revised one of the farmland, he drew up a positive report on absence of end use violations and estimated the lot at the cost of $50,000. He chose his private office as a suitable place for “business meeting” with the land owner. He wrote a sum on a piece of paper and deleted it straight away. Then he ordered to throw money into the waste-bin. While “the transfer” taking place, the law enforcement officials came in the office and arrested him.
Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office has instituted a criminal case according to the article 368 of the Penal Code of Ukraine (bribe-taking by official).
