President of Russia Vladimir Putin declared that he and Ukraine’s President Victor Yushchenko agreed to meet in the near future.

“Recently I talked with Yushchenko and we agreed to conduct a meeting with the framework of the commission, which was formed long ago, but has not started to work yet,” Putin said, ,eeting VR speaker Oleksandr Moroz in Kremlin.

The Russia’s President underlined that for Yushchenko-Putin commission to start functioning is needed to reach certain agreements in economic sphere and to bridge regular political contacts.

Putin stated that such is indeed his treatment of Moroz’s visit to Moscow.

The RF President expressed a hope that Moroz managed to exchange opinions on all directions of intergovernmental relations with the heads of Russian parliament.

“I am convinced that your visit will make an additional useful contribution to development of relations between our countries,” Putin said.

The President underscored that “political relations between Russia and Ukraine develops rather successfully.
