Oil slick is situated in the region of Bulgarian town Tutrakan, within 290 km from Ukrainian port Reni (Odesa region).
Ukraine’s Ministry for Emergency Situations and Population Protection from Chornobyl Aftermath forecasts that the oil slick may reach the Ukrainian frontier on October 8-9.
The around-the-clock special operative group is ready to prevent the negative aftermath of oil slick’s invasion into the territorial waters of Ukraine. The Emergency Ministry HQ monitors the situation within Danube delta. The work plan on rescue measures has been already worked out. The additional measures are implemented for protection of the life support objects.
