Kharkiv regional authorities have launched collecting the signatures for dismissal of Kharkiv Governor Arsen Avakov, Kharkiv Regional Council Chairman Vasyl Salyhin informed.
According to his words, the action has been initiated by the regional organisation of the Party of Regions. It has started on Wednesday and by the end there were 3,000 signatures in the list.
“In few days we will see how much peoples support the Governor,” said Salyhin. The signatures are gathered due to the public initiation and then the list will be submitted to the President’s Secretariat.
Responding the journalists’ question, Salyhin stated that Governor Avakov’s supporters have provoked the confrontation. He also outlined the absence of any “political content” in the action.
