
Kateryna Yushchenko and Ukraine’s Health Minister Yuriy Polyachenko visited the Truskavets International Rehabilitation Hospital for children with infantile cerebral paralysis, the president press office informs.
She inspected the facilityand then met with its patients and their parents. Eighteen children from Lugansk, Kyiv, Zakarpatya, Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts and Crimea are staying therenow to undergo treatment as part of the Joy of Childhood – Free Moves program.
In her speech, the First Lady said this program, whose aim is to improve Ukrainian children’s health, was a wonderful example of cooperation involving business people, charitable organizations and hospitals.
She gave the hospital an icon.
The Truskavets International Rehabilitation Hospital provides a range oftreatmentfor children with disorders of the central nervous system. Its patients come from all over the world.
Implemented by Ukraine 3000 and TNK-BP, the Joy of Childhood – Free Moves program has helped 185 patients with infantile cerebral paralysis so far.
