Commenting on the results of the meeting with Ukrainian Diaspora business circles, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk stressed that Ukrainians living abroad are not ready to invest in Ukrainian economics.
“There were businessmen, representatives of the Diaspora, who invested in Ukrainian business in the 90-ies. We had badly protected investment for that moment. So, they were the first ones and that is why they burnt their fingers,” said Minister Tarasyuk.
He also outlined the inestimable contributions made by Ukrainian Diaspora for Ukraine. Among of such deeds was a delivery of buildings in Australia, Canada and the Great Britain for Ukrainian embassies and diplomatic representatives.
