The President of Ukraine has put his signature under the Act of Ukraine on Ukraine’s Ratification of the Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protections of Children approved by the Verkhovna Rada on September 14, 2006.
The Act provides for ratification of the corresponding Convention by Ukraine. The Convention is aimed at protection of children rights on full, adequate life, harmonious development and comprehensive upbringing, guarantee of his property rights.
The Act regulates issues of jurisdiction and right applied at finding, exercise, termination and restriction of the parental responsibility, guardianship, management, preservation and arrangement of the child’s property.
